Immersion 1
Topics:
Functional Anatomy: Morning seminarsIncrease your ability to teach asana safely, help clients with injury and give sophisticated cueing for asana. We will learn anatomy of the foot and ankle, knee, hips, pelvic floor, spine, rib cage, shoulders and neck.
The Science of a Mindful lifestyle: Afternoon seminars
Learn the evidence that backs up our Saucha practice. Learn the research and effective practices of mindful exercise, eating well, digestion, relaxation techniques such as pranayama, a variety of meditation approaches, and restorative yoga, positive mental processing and using the Purusārthas to guide your life’s path.

Immersion includes: 7 nights stay in chosen accommodation, 2 vegetarian (sattvic) meals per day including one meal on arrival and departure day, 6 full days of courses, including Asana practice and seminars, full use of facilities, 20 Yoga Alliance CEC’s (continuing education credits) and handouts/manual appropriate for your immersion.

How the body works with Yoga: Morning seminarsBecome a more sophisticated yoga teacher using a deep understanding of the relationship of physiology, biomechanics and neuroscience to yoga modalities. This information is basic to understanding how to use yoga therapeutically.
How to make Asana, Pranayama and Meditation accessible to all: Afternoon seminars
Hone your teaching mythology to include a variety of demographics. This section includes how to teach gentle yoga, chair yoga, wheelchair yoga, bed yoga, and restorative yoga.

Yoga and the Mind: Morning seminarsThe study of yoga philosophy gives yoga teachers a time tested foundation for understanding the mind. In this course we will develop the critical thinking skills to teach yoga techniques to help in the healing process of stress, depression, anxiety and trauma.
Advanced Yoga Asana Teaching Techniques: Afternoon seminars
Become a teachers teacher. Learn effective techniques and queuing to teach advanced poses, to give hands-on alignment and to prevent injury.

Mentored Practicum for Classes and Workshops: Morning seminars Trainees will be given the opportunity to teach classes and get feedback on their teaching skills. We will also work on how to design workshops.Mentored Practicum and Business Techniques: Afternoon seminars Along with opportunities to teach mentored classes, trainees will write out a business and marketing plan to increase their business opportunities.
